Craft Fairs 2011

I signed up for 2 more craft fairs in Brighton this year as well. The second one fell through due to poor organisation. It was super disappointing as tom and I drove all the way to Brighton for it, stood out in the freezing weather for an hour, to find out there wasn't going to be anyone to open the doors to let us in. We went Christmas shopping instead.

The first one went really really well though and I doubled my sales of my first one last year.

Instead of putting out some of my bigger original drawings and my stacking dolls (which I am not super keen to sell, so the price is pretty high on those), I made more prints, more small 2dee drawings, mugs, and put out free stickers.

The end.

Craft Fairs

Winter 2010

I signed up for my first craft fairs last winter. Both were in the basement of a comedy club in Brighton. The first one went pretty well, but I soon realised what kind of price people expect to pay at these craft fairs. Once I lowered my prices, coasters began to sell quickly. As long I am still making a profit, it is more important to me for new people to see and buy my art.

I did another fair 2 weeks later, and this time brought along cheaper things like super tiny prints which I sold for £1.00 each. These sold out within the first 2 hours. I also did some mug and coaster sets winch all sold out and had a few people who kept coming back for more.
