Tote Bags

I have been playing around with screen printing a little bit. I love the outcome of it, but the setup is so time consuming. I choose two of my favourite nakkid owls to be made into screens and printing a buncha things to test out. I'll be taking these all to my next fair (Saturday June 15th, @ Craftaganza at Fabrica in Brighton) to see how they do and decide whether I will continue making them.

Deer, Wolf, Owl Hole

I have had this picture frame for ages just waiting for something awesome to happen to it. I knew I wanted to do some paper cutting, shadow boxing, 2dee-ness to it, just not sure what.

Ps. Taking pictures of glass is super difficult.

Custom Stacking Dolls - Russian Owls - Behance Feature!

I received my first custom etsy purchase last month for some Russian Owls. The customer preferred larger owls than the ones I had listed, so I tracked down these ones. The largest is about 17cm high. It was nice to be able to get some more detail into the owls.

Today I also received an email from Behance notifying me that these owls were selected for the Toy Design Behance Gallery.

Ceramic Owls

Wondering when I am going to get sick of owls. In all honesty, I'm not THAT obsessed with them. Obviously they are incredible birds and beautiful, but more importantly to me.. they are the perfect shape for stacking dolls... and I love drawing them still.

Okay, so Mr Tom and I went to homewares type store a while ago to buy lightbulbs.. litterally that is all we went for.. and I spotted this..
... a slightly hideous white ceramic owl. I bought one and as soon as we got home and began prepping it to be painted... The next day, Bob was born.

Soon as he was done, I sent Tom out to buy two more:

Meet, Hank

And Earl:

We then went back and bought 3 more plus a bigger one, as all of these 3 were sold very quickly.

Nakkid Owls

Some featherless olws for you to enjoy...

Olws get old too you know.
Some like fur coats

 Others like tuques (uk translation=beanie)

Some have nakkid butts

 Which makes others stare

Some really just like cats... even if the cats dont like them.

I urge you to click to open this up to see the owls in full.
My thinking was the have each be a set, so the characters are facing each other in some sort of vague interaction.
Hope you have enjoyed.
